Expanding women’s access to carbon markets and green finance through technology, legal structuring, and sustainable agriculture.

The Problem

Women and smallholder farmers remain largely excluded from access to carbon markets and green financial systems.

Despite contributing to sustainable agriculture, they face:

  • Limited access to financing
  • Lack of legal and technical infrastructure
  • Barriers to participating in global environmental markets

The Solution

WIGA bridges this gap.

We enable:

  • Access to carbon markets for smallholder farmers
  • Structuring of carbon-linked financial instruments (e.g. CPR Verde)
  • Integration of sustainable agricultural production into global environmental asset markets
  • Training and onboarding of women into the green economy

"

WIGA was shaped by my lived experiences. Coming from a background marked by economic hardship, domestic violence, and financial exclusion, this initiative is driven by a commitment to enhance autonomy, access, and economic dignity for women in vulnerable situations, empowering them to declare that enough is enough." - Bruna Rocha
